About the Club

Crackenback Ski Club‘s lodge was built in 1957 and was the first lodge at Thredbo. The founding members of Crackenback were also instrumental in the formation of Thredbo itself; in its corporate structure, locating and establishing the first tow and through to designing and building the main road into Thredbo.

Crackenback today is a small private Club which boasts a close-knit membership. Many of the current members have been associated with the Club’s founders and feel a great sense of pride to be part of the ‘Crackenback family’.
